My Story & Approach:

When I first started in this business back in 1983 at Merrill Lynch, I quickly realized something: most people don’t live and breathe investments the way advisors do—and they shouldn’t have to just to feel secure about their financial future. Finance is my world, not yours. So, from the very beginning, I made a promise to my clients: no jargon, no complicated explanations, no pressure. Just clear, simple conversations that help you fully understand your options before making any decisions. 

 

Over the years—more than four decades now—I’ve worked with people at all stages of life: those preparing for retirement, those building wealth, and those navigating changing markets. My role has always been to translate complexity into clarity. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I don’t just “manage money”—I make sure they feel confident about why we’re doing what we’re doing. We only move forward once you feel everything makes sense.

 

I’ve always believed the most exciting opportunities come from disruptive innovation—the kind that completely changes how we live. Think about Amazon turning shopping trips into next-day delivery, or Apple transforming a simple flip phone into the iPhone. Those shifts didn’t just create new products—they redefined entire industries.

 

Today, I see that same wave of disruptive innovation in robotics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and energy storage. My role is to help you tap into those possibilities while balancing them with the stability that keeps your portfolio aligned with both your goals and your comfort level.

 

My career has taken me from Merrill Lynch to A.G. Edwards (where I spent 17 years, until the year the firm was merged into Wachovia) to today, where I’m with Clayton Investment Associates, which utilizes the strength of LPL Financial—the largest independent broker-dealer* in the country. Backed by nearly 30,000 advisors and $1.9 trillion in assets under management, I have access to the resources and technology to help clients like you succeed—while still maintaining the independence to always put your interests first.
